Luis Loaiza Gallego

Profile: With degrees in Biology and Chemistry and Co-operative Administration, he is currently in the tenth semester of Public Accounting, a course involving the Fundamentals of the Process of Training the Trainers in Entities of Economic Solidarity, in the University Pinar del Rio, Cuba.  In addition, he has diplomas from numerous seminars in financial management, administration, and credit and finance risk control. With 20 years of experience in the savings and credit c-ooperative sector, he is currently advisor and consultant in Entities of Economic Solidarity in the department of Antioquia, Columbia, and instructor in the Confederation of Co-operatives of Columbia, Antioquia chapter.
Currently he is president of the Corporation Agency for Local Development in Eastern Antioqueño-ADEPROA, an ADEL model implemented in the region.
Gaining knowledge of rural micro finance models and methodologies is my principal expectation, in order to bring fresh knowledge to the ten cooperatives which make up FUSOAN, an association which brings together 37,000 peasants and mini-entrepreneurs in Eastern Antioqueño.

With 15 years experience in the promotion of the micro-enterprise sector, he has accumulated capacities in political incidence, idea generation, and the design of local development programs. Over the past four years, he has specialized in family money transfers and migration, connecting them with local planning.

Yvrose Joseph

Profile: With more than ten years experience in internacional NGO’s and in socio-economic development projects, Yvrose is an agronomist specialized in development and business administration.  She has considerable experience collaborating in different areas of decentralized co-operation, development, training, international commerce, fundraising, development of methodologies for micro-enterprise projects, strong competition in project administration, in international development, etc.  She has worked for institutions including:  IICA (Inter-American Institute for Agricultural Cooperation), where from 1995 to 1999, as the Coordinator of the project Women Revolving Fund, she was in charge of the liaison between the Ministry of Agriculture and IICA.  She participated in the negotiations relative to the project, in the defining of methodologies and the implementation of a pilot program for micro finance and reproductive health also education, training, raising awareness, analyzing the new creative income activities.  In BIT she worked in the implementation of interest-type calculation models for the training and formation of agents of MFI’s.  She has conducted research on the introduction of micro-insurance and health in microfinance institutions.  She has also worked as an advisor in Christian Aid, FINTRAC, and the Ministry of Agriculture.  She worked as a technical advisor at KNFP. Her principal areas of intervention are: formation and/or training, the micro-enterprise and micro insurance.

Profile: Business Administrator, with a Masters degree in Administration with a mention in Finance.  I am the Business Administrator of FDL, with experience in the administration of commercial micro-credit, for consumers, housing, and crop and livestock.  I also work as a consultant for micro-financial institutions in Guatemala, under a co-operation agreement.   I am on the directory of a pilot program for enterprises of the Nitlapán Institute. 
My interest is to learn about regulatory processes of MFI’s, with emphasis in rural areas, innovative credit initiatives in the agricultural sector, and the use of technology to reduce operation and transaction costs.
